Wooden Candlestick, Dr. Roman Smyk collection

One of the hand carved wooden candlesticks with incrustations, or "svichnyk," from the Dr. Roman Smyk Collection at the Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago.

Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago houses over 1,400 artifacts and its collections continue to grow, thanks to the generosity of our many donors. Due to limited exhibit space, we are only able to exhibit a small fraction of our collection. There are currently three collections on display at the museum, each with their own unique and valuable objects.

To explore our three exhibited collections, please select from the menu to the left of the screen to explore the Dr. Roman Smyk collection; the Selfreliance Ukrainian Credit Union Stamp, Coin and Money collection; or the Senator Walter Dudycz collection. Enjoy your visit to these three prized collections!
