Senator Walter Dudycz

In 2005, the Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago was proud to add a new permanent collection. The Senator Walter Dudycz Room highlights the 18 year political career of retired Illinois Senator Walter Dudycz. The Senator generously donated his Senatorial desk, chair, flags and various pictures and awards. Senator Dudycz and his wife, Oksana, organized the new display personally. Thanks to the Senator’s efforts, the State of Illinois gave the Ukrainian National Museum $500,000 for its expansion in 1999. We are proud to have American-Ukrainians who have attained much personal success and are still committed to preserving their Ukrainian heritage.

The Senator Walter Dudycz Room is located on the second floor of the Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago.
